Jacklyn's Background

Jacklyn Fox brings a wealth of experience to her legal practice, combining a strong background in criminal prosecution, civil litigation, and criminal defense. A graduate of the University of Iowa with dual degrees in Communication Studies and Social Work, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2011. While in law school, she was an active leader, serving as Public Service Board President, a Senior Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy, and a competitor on the Trial Advocacy Team. Her dedication to advocacy was recognized with the Dean’s Award in Trial Advocacy and a nomination for the University of St. Thomas Living the Mission honor.

After two years of litigation experience with Duncan, Green, Brown & Langeness, Jacklyn became a prosecutor with the Woodbury County Attorney’s Office, where she spent a decade handling felony and misdemeanor cases, including some of the most serious and violent offenses. She developed extensive trial experience, skillfully analyzing evidence, preparing cases, and advocating for justice. Her commitment to victim advocacy and trial excellence was recognized with the Guardian of Victims’ Rights award from Marsy’s Law in 2022.

Jacklyn transitioned into private practice in 2022 and became a Partner at Crary Huff Law Firm. She spearheaded the firm’s criminal defense practice, managing a significant caseload and generating substantial results for both the firm and her clients. Her approach to defense is strategic, thorough, and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes.

Committed to serving both her profession and her community, Jacklyn has been actively involved in organizations such as Polk County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), where she advocated for the best interests of children in the legal system. She has also served on the board of the Siouxland Growth Organization, helping to establish initiatives that connect young professionals with career opportunities and community engagement. Jacklyn is dedicated to using her legal expertise to make a meaningful impact, both inside and outside the courtroom.
